Barbie Wardrobe, Mattel CABINET OF CURIOSITIES

The item of the month is a portable Barbie wardrobe, produced in 1989 in Italy by Mattel. In shades of pink and peach, it features translucent doors and various compartments that simulate a dressing room, complete with a mirror, drawers and space for a bed. Representative of the late 20th-century play sets associated with the world of Barbie, this example also includes miniature accessories and furniture. It has been part of the MAH’s Toys and Games Management Unit since 2025, following a donation by Ana Isabel Oliveira Ormonde Peixoto.
