Sundays with Music

With a mission to promote and preserve the region’s musical heritage, the Angra do Heroísmo Museum continues its programme of Baroque concerts on the historic organ of the Church of Nossa Senhora da Guia, built in 1788 by António Xavier Machado e Cerveira and restored in 2011 by Dinarte Machado. Performed by resident organist Gustaaf van Manen, the programme brings together works from the 16th to the 18th centuries, offering the audience an authentic musical experience in a venue of recognised heritage and acoustic value.
