{"id":19900,"date":"2025-03-06T12:58:19","date_gmt":"2025-03-06T13:58:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/museu-angra.cultura.azores.gov.pt\/others\/historical-pieces\/hen\/"},"modified":"2025-12-31T10:57:41","modified_gmt":"2025-12-31T11:57:41","slug":"hen","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/museu-angra.cultura.azores.gov.pt\/en\/others\/historical-pieces\/hen\/","title":{"rendered":"Hen"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile is-vertically-aligned-top\" style=\"grid-template-columns:auto 40%\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p><p data-start=\"82\" data-end=\"310\">This miniature laying hen, manufactured in Portugal by Osul, delighted many children in the 1960s and 1970s, being one of the emblematic products of <em data-start=\"231\" data-end=\"251\">Pedrinho Amiguinho<\/em>, the most popular toy shop in Angra in the last century.<\/p>&#13;\n<p data-start=\"312\" data-end=\"484\">Available in white or yellow, with a red-painted comb and black feet, each hen, when pressed, would open its wings and lay one of the three eggs contained in its abdomen.<\/p>&#13;\n<p data-start=\"486\" data-end=\"847\">The Osul factory originated from the split of Luso-Celuloide, founded in Espinho in 1931, which was primarily dedicated to the production of costume jewellery and trinkets.
