The pieces here presented are Ex-libris. They are functional miniature art pieces that are glued to books and that identify libraries. Because of their symbolic richness and aesthetics, they first became collector&#8217;s objects, then of worship, later on of study and today, they are a systematic subject of a science: librarianship.
