It will showcase a private collection of Air Force badges collected over more than forty years by Crist\u00f3v\u00e3o Azevedo. This first exhibition recognises the hierarchical organization chart, officers, and non-officers, as well as the different types, materials and techniques used. The different bases of the Portuguese Air Force will be taken into account, as well as the different squadrons. There is also a rare hand-embroidered badge that was commissioned by Manuel Coelho Baptista de Lima for the American soldiers (Navy Aquanights of Atlantic) who were part of the team that rescued the bronze culverin seen in this branch, which dates from 1972.<\/p>\n\n<p><strong>CONFERENCES AT BOA NOVA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>There will be a presentation by Portuguese Air Force 1st Sergeant Liliana Caetano, who is a specialist in the subject of Air Force badges, in terms of their evolution, characterisation and collectability.
