This exhibition space is dedicated to the collection of the renowned cardiologist who lived in this city, where Indo-Portuguese ivory pieces, originating in the geographical and temporal context of the Portuguese Expansion, stand out, such as the Namban chests and lacquerware from the Land of the Rising Sun. Also noteworthy are the medieval English alabasters, mostly carved in Nottingham, and the religious statuary, of Flemish mastery, such as those from the workshops of Malines.
