Sunglasses

Apparently created out of the needs of pilot aviators, sunglasses became essential accessories for our well-being, while also bringing a touch of “chic” or “glamour” associated with true stars into everyday life. Their appeal lies in the mystery, in a certain play of seduction suggested by the concealment of the eyes and the soul, much like the parasols and masks of yesteryear. This pair of 1950s-style sunglasses evokes, for example, the unforgettable Grace Kelly, Princess of Monaco. This object is part of the Textiles and Clothing Collection of the Museum of Angra do Heroismo.
