The Holy Spirit Festivities: The contemporary of Azorean heritage

This exhibition includes photographs taken by Mari Lyn and Vernon Salvador in 1976-1978 of the Holy Spirit festivities in the Azores and in the emigrant communities in California. They are complemented by a later collection from 2001 of the cult of the Divine in Terceira, by Sérgio Salvador, which continues the family project of creating, through photography, a kind of place where the same people, those who stayed and those who emigrated, can reflect and connect on what has been inexorably separated by space and time.
