In the 1970s, the Museum of Angra do Heroísmo became the stage for a unique artistic movement. Under the guidance of Humberto Marçal and Manuela Pinheiro, engraving courses were held that opened up new possibilities for creation and artistic experimentation. This exhibition brings together original works produced in these courses, accompanied by documents, photographs and the press used in the workshops, as well as engraving tools and materials that reveal the rigour and sensitivity of the technical process. The exhibition invites visitors to revisit a time of discovery and learning, when the Museum was simultaneously a space for training, sharing and collective creation. In dialogue with the present, the exhibition also includes a video of a contemporary artist performing engraving, underlining the relevance and continuity of this artistic practice.
