With this exhibition, the MAH aims to introduce the public to specimens whose physical characteristics make it difficult to immediately understand their functions and the techniques used, as well as the contexts and purposes associated with them, sparking curiosity in those who observe them. In addition to this criterion, the exhibition encompasses various fields of study and activity, such as communication, entertainment, weaponry, music, military aviation, computing, medicine, and more—areas that, in the 19th and 20th centuries, played a key role in the development of devices and equipment that are true technological curiosities. The items on display are part of several collections within the MAH, offering visitors a glimpse into the diversity of the museum’s holdings.
