Cabinet of Curiosities – Paper Art

This month’s feature highlights a front and back cover made of paper art, composed of geometric and floral motifs created through cut and pasted paper, designed to decorate and line prayer books. Dating from the late 19th century, this convent-origin piece has reached us intact and in excellent condition, having never served its original purpose. Since 2024, it has been part of the Graphic Documents Management Unit at MAH.
