Carmina | Dimas Simas Lopes Contemporary Art Gallery
Opening of the AFAA (Azores Amateur Photographers Association) exhibition
The ‘AFAA Photographic Award’ was created in 2020 and promoted by the AFAA, the Azores Amateur Photographers Association, exclusively for its members. It is a biannual photographic competition that aims to encourage the development of photographic projects and give wings to the creativity of its members, who were able to compete with a free theme, in the General (Cameras) and Smart (smartphones) categories.
The exhibition, on show at Carmina | Dimas Simas Lopes Contemporary Art Gallery from 23 September 2022 to January 2023, is made up of 12 works of 3 photographs each, all in the General category, selected by a jury made up of renowned photographers: António Luís Campos, Pepe Brix and Eduardo Leal.
