The dance workshop, promoted by Shivana Eventos and Bailhos Bravos, which seeks to promote circle, couple and line dances from all corners of the globe, returns to the Angra Museum. An evening of fun and sharing traditional beginner dances, so that everyone, even those who call themselves ‘lead feet’, can participate in the magic and joy characteristic of this form of bodily expression. Joana Loura, a native of the island of Santa Maria, was president of the Associação Os Amigos da Maia, the organisation responsible for the Maia Folk Festival, which infected her with a love of traditional dances from the very first edition. She is currently a dancer with the Grupo Folclórico da Casa do Povo de Santo Espírito and an enthusiastic apprentice of balfolk.
