In this workshop, traditional dyeing processes are revisited through experiments in fabric dyeing and paper illustration, using lichens, plants and tree bark.

Visit to the first section of the exhibition From Sea and Land… a History in the Atlantic (the export of woad and orchil to Flanders in the 16th and 17th centuries);

Visit to the Duque da Terceira Garden, with identification of species with dyeing properties;

Introduction to basic techniques and procedures of vegetable dyeing;

Fabric dyeing and illustration using plant-based dyes.
