San Francisco Building

The Great War (1914-1918) was characterized by a war of technological novelties that indelibly marked all the conflicts that followed. The mass use of machine guns, the large volumes of rapid-fire artillery fire, gases, steel helmets, submarines, aircraft and combat vehicles are perhaps the most obvious. On this Lunchtime Theme Tour, we’ll revisit some of these innovations through the objects on display in the Museum.
Visit led by MAH senior technician Jaime Regalado.
