São Francisco Building
On 3 November, between 13:00 and 13:45, we will hold a new session of Thematic Lunchtime Visits at the São Francisco Building (MAH), this time dedicated to Documentário Terceirense (1927), by António L. Lourenço Costa (1883-1941).
It is considered the “first Azorean film”, and it documents different aspects of life in Angra do Heroísmo Its original film (around a thousand metres and 42,000 frames) is housed in the Museum of Angra do Heroísmo’s Archive, and has been reissued in digital format.
The screening of the documentary and guided tour by MAH senior technician Margarida Brito de Azevedo and historian Carlos Enes will start at 13:00 and last 45 minutes. It is free of charge and those interested can book a meal service, which will be provided by Health2Go and available from 12:00.
