Educational Service of the Museum of Angra do Heroísmo, 27 April and 11 May, 14:00–17:00
Appearances enchant and deceive… Charms and illusions, when consciously understood and embraced, serve as excellent vehicles to other eras in which decorative arts were defined by opulence and refinement, creating an atmosphere of intoxicating splendour.
In this workshop, participants will falsify realities, distorting them as far as the mind, eye, and hand can travel and execute, in order to create an antiquity from a contemporary object, using easily available and low-cost materials.
Instructor: Ana Brum, set designer
Target audience: 8 young people aged 12 and over, and adults
Registration by email at [email protected]. Cost: €20, payable to the instructor (for both sessions)
