Sundays with Music

With the mission of promoting and preserving the region’s musical heritage, the Museum of Angra do Heroísmo continues its programme of Baroque concerts on the historic organ of the Church of Nossa Senhora da Guia, built in 1788 by António Xavier Machado e Cerveira and restored in 2011 by Dinarte Machado. Performed by resident organist Gustaaf van Manen, the programme brings together works from the 16th to 18th centuries, offering the public an authentic sound experience in a space of recognised heritage and acoustic value.
