Memória em Pedra Book Launch

We will be hosting the launch of the book Memória em Pedra (Memory in Stone) by Rui Carita and Konstantin Richter, which focuses on the Cidade Velha in Cape Verde.
The book includes contributions from archaeologists José Luís Neto and Alexandre Monteiro and is organised as a historical and cultural tour of this first Creole city built from scratch in the tropics. It is based on the archaeological and underwater survey work carried out in recent years, which justified its inscription as a UNESCO heritage sitein 2009.
