Me and the Other – Children’s Workshop

In the context of the exhibition Olhar o Outro (Looking at the Other), children are invited to explore portraiture as a form of encounter. Following a guided tour of the exhibition, the participants create their self-portraits with the help of a mirror and, in pairs, draw each other, discovering how the art of portraiture evolved from the solemn and static figures of the 17th–18th centuries to the more lively and inclusive representations of the 19th–20th centuries.
