Educational Service of the Museum of Angra do Heroísmo, 9 February, 14:00–17:00
Unicorns, as well as knights and ladies with pointed hats, are popular characters in children’s imaginations, with historical and legendary roots dating back to the Middle Ages. In this visit-workshop, we will analyse graphic reproductions of tapestries and also take a close look at some pieces from the Military Collection of the Museum of Angra do Heroísmo to learn a little about history and many stories from this period, which still sparks the imagination of children and adults today.

Afterwards, participants will design their own coat of arms and create a shield in the style of medieval knights.

Free participation, limited to 10 children aged 5 and over
Registration by phone at 295 240 800 or by email at [email protected]
