Highchairs, Powder and Velvet Flies

Educational Service, 18 February, 2pm/5pm Let’s travel back to the 18th century to see how ladies and gentlemen dressed, wore make-up and socialised, travelling in chairs, litters, carriages and other vehicles, such as those in the MAH’s Transport Collection. Then we will build a chair so that, suitably made up and adorned, we can have our portrait taken in the 18th-century style.
