In this workshop, the compositions by Eduardo Carqueijeiro, on display in the Dacosta Gallery, set the tone for creating a “Fictitious Place” using the technique of “crazy work.”
Traditionally used in crafting household textiles, this technique involves repurposing fabric scraps, randomly arranged on a larger surface and secured with bold, colorful stitching, forming patterns reminiscent of enclosed fields.
