The night sky is the most universal of all spectacles offered to the human eye. Humanity has always been captivated by the intangible allure of the stars, sensing their influence on the flow of waters and the vital cycles of crops and gestation.
Primitive civilizations relied on the stars for the future of their empires, the inspiration of their bards, the eternity of their dead, and the fate of individuals. Today, space is regarded as the ultimate frontier of human courage and intellect.
