Angels are messengers and guardians that inhabit our imagination, associated with memories of a pure, happy, and protected time—childhood. Dacosta, the painter from Terceira whose 100th birthday is celebrated this year, painted them many times. In this workshop, children are invited to visit the Museum of Angra to discover Dacosta’s angels, as well as other magnificent representations of these celestial beings from our Collection of paintings and sculptures. Afterwards, participants will collaboratively create a decorative mural for the Educational Service, based on a sketch by the painter, and make their own angel to take home and guard their sleep.
