Christmas Concert with Handbells

In partnership with the Percussion Group of the Angra do Heroísmo Regional Conservatory, the MAH presents a concert featuring 20th-century handbells from the United States. Part of its collection, the 42 bells — accompanied by triangles, reco-reco and respective accessories — allow for the performance of recognisable melodies and harmonies, historically associated with Christmas repertoires. The initiative aims to bring the community closer to the MAH’s musical heritage through a programme specially prepared with scores from the Museum’s collection.
