The so-called “April Murals” began to be painted between the Carnation Revolution and the approval of the 1976 Portuguese Constitution. During this period, the walls were filled with colors and appeals from all the Portuguese political parties. Inspired by these murals and with the aim of making young people aware of the significance of the Revolution of April 25, 1974 and its importance in the contemporary history of the country and the world, the MAH’s Education Service is holding a mural painting workshop outside the building. The activity will be preceded by a visit to the exhibition 50 Pedras pela Liberdade, led by its author, Ernesto Matos.
Target audience: children aged 6 to 12, with a maximum of 10 participants. Free attendance subject to prior registration by calling 295 240 800 or e-mailing [email protected]
