The Awakening of the Senses with the Body Alphabet is a theatrical awareness class for children who are curious about expressing themselves through the performing arts in general and through theatre in particular. It is a course designed to stimulate creativity and develop basic dramatic/theatrical skills on three levels: acting, body, and voice.
The aim is for participants to experience theatrical expression both as an individual and as a group activity. In theatre, awareness of the whole is essential. The group is the meeting place, where people connect through profound creative and expressive, as well as affective and social, experiences.
Instructor: António Braga, professional actor and teacher of dramatic expression in primary education.
