29.04.2023 - 29.04.2023

On 29 April at 14:00, at Carmina | Dimas Simas Lopes Gallery of Contemporary Art, the Museum of Angra do Heroísmo, through its Educational Service and in collaboration with the Angra do Heroísmo Science Centre, will host a children’s workshop dedicated to insects.

This activity takes place as part of the programme associated with the exhibition Bichos by Javier Torrent, currently on display at Carmina, and aims to introduce participants to the role of the entomologist as a “scientist of insects”. During the session, children will analyse a sample of subsoil (leaf litter), discovering the small organisms that inhabit it and learning about their importance.

The practical outcome of the workshop will be the creation of a drawing of an insect, inspired by the imagination and creativity of the participants. The activity is aimed at fifteen children aged six and over. Participation is free of charge, subject to prior registration by telephone on 295 240 800 or by email at [email protected]
