Soon, the Angra do Heroísmo Museum (MAH) will return to the Bettencourt Palace, 50 years later. In this urban manor house from the 18th and 19th centuries, as announced by Jorge Paulus Bruno, director of the MAH, an exhibition circuit will be set up, along with collections belonging to local figures and collectors.

The Portuguese Military Tourism Association recently took part in the “Conferences at Boa Nova” series, an initiative organised by the Angra do Heroísmo Museum and the fantastic Manuel Coelho Baptista de Lima Military History Centre. The presentation, titled “The National Charter for Military Tourism: from Concept to Operation”, was delivered by João Pinto Coelho, Secretary-General of #ATMPT. Find out more about this initiative!
Ana Lúcia Almeida is the coordinator of the Educational Service at the Angra do Heroísmo Museum, and at this seminar she demonstrated that the institution’s aim is to establish itself as a space for social interaction, culture, and affection.
At the entrance, Vasco da Gama welcomes visitors to the well-known Alfândega Courtyard. Next door is the Angra do Heroísmo Customs Delegation, where an exhibition titled “Boats with History” is on display. The “Boats with History” exhibition, part of the Nautical Collection of the Angra do Heroísmo Museum and organised by the museum along with its partners, will be open until 30 September 2018.
