António Dacosta returns home in this exhibition that brings together paintings and various documents that, in the words of Luiz Fagundes Duarte, allow us to understand the circumstances in which he became a poet and, above all, a painter, ‘the only one of international dimension who lived and understood the Azorean identity, which he abundantly interpreted and reproduced, from a point of view that is not confused with the immediacy of picturesque emotions.’
