E-maestro and A ver a banda a passar… are the two exhibits that the Museum of Angra do Heroísmo is presenting at the same time in the Capítulo Gallery, in honour of the men and women of all ages who dedicate their free time to the pleasure of music, as part of the many philharmonic groups in the Azores.
In e-maestro, an interactive exhibition by Rui Avelans Coelho, the user is encouraged to interact with the video of a real orchestra, choosing and mixing the various instruments being played.
A ver a banda a passar… (Watching the Band Go By) presents some instruments and scores from the MAH’s collection from military bands and, in particular, from the Banda Regimental de Angra, in order to show the importance of the various instruments in the overall sound of a symphonic band, as well as making it possible to internalise their various sounds and how they complement each other in the overall composition of the piece performed
