Dinosaurs are monstrous and captivating beings that haunt our collective imagination. They have spawned legends and myths, given rise to comic book heroes, inspired alien creature forms and starred in countless adventure films.
Under the auspices of a partnership with the Observatório do Mar dos Açoresy (OMA), the Fábrica da Baleia do Porto Pim is hosting a few specimens of these terrible lizards which belong to the Museum of Angra do Heroísmo from 4 August to 22 September. The exhibition is complemented by guided tours and various activities in which, in a practical and fun way, some basic palaeontology concepts are applied to identify and recognise fossils of different dinosaurs.
