As part of the International Day of Monuments and Sites 2024, under the motto Disasters and Conflicts in the light of the Venice Charter, the MAH is highlighting the work of José Nuno da Câmara Pereira, created in 2003, when the US, then under the presidency of George W. Bush, declared war on Iraq. Considered by art critic José Luís Porfírio to be “above all, a three-dimensional caricature” that “retains a renewed relevance today”, it is part of the Fine Arts Management Unit of the Angra do Heroísmo Museum.
