Carmina Contemporary Art Gallery Dimas Simas Lopes
The aim of this third edition of A Tertúlia is to provide a context for the exhibitions that have taken place on Terceira Island, from the mid-20th century to the present day, listing the organizers, both public and private, the spaces used, the emerging and established artists on the international, national and regional scene. The aim is also to reflect on the formation of audiences and the cultural impact of these initiatives on local society. There will also be room to evoke the importance of curators and exhibition discourses that influence, or not, our gaze and our perception. This activity is moderated and curated by Assunção Melo with the participation of Dimas Simas Lopes, Francisco Lima, Jorge A. Paulus Bruno and Miguel Costa.
