The Swords, Sabres and Daggers of the Navy | Communication by Paulo Santos

Conferences at Boa Nova The result of more than two years’ research, the speaker will present around thirty models of swords and twelve daggers used in the Portuguese Navy from the 18th century to the present day. Of different types, origins and manufacture, they generally denote a strong English influence. However, some of these weapons have characteristics and aesthetic details that are very typical of Portuguese and Armada weaponry.
