Museum of Angra do Heroísmo's Educational Service

We all love family portraits. Portraits allow us to compare similarities, evaluate changes and preserve happy moments. The albums that delighted our grandmothers are disappearing, but the habit of taking photographs is increasingly common and appreciated. On this visit to the Museum, we’re going to let ourselves be photographed in a relaxed way, while we have fun appreciating the portraits that are on show, noticing how the colours, lines, position and objects that accompany each of the portraits reveal their personality and tell us about the era in which they lived. Then, in the workshop, we’ll make our own paints and with the help of the whole family create a “real” portrait.
Free to attend, but limited to 6 families per session.
Scheduling can be done by phone (295 240 800) or e-mail ([email protected]).
