In Aqui e Além Lisboa: Anos 80 (Here and Beyond Lisbon: The 1980s), journalist, critic and film programmer José Vieira Mendes reveals photographs of the capital in a record that mainly highlights people, their actions and their gestures, recalling everyday life and experiences from the perspective of someone who “woke up at dawn and wandered around the city to photograph some glimpses of a Lisbon that was resisting with pain (…) to the impulse of change in that dazzling decade, shortly after the April Revolution”.
