The exhibition brings together forty-five photographs by the architect Jorge Kol de Carvalho, portraying public transport stops as shelters and places for meeting and waiting, where architecture intersects with the landscape and everyday life. The photographs were selected by the author Duarte Belo, who notes that they “are, in themselves, moments of pause in life’s long journey. They are question marks in daily life, moments of detachment, of thought, of abstraction and escape. They are a portrait of the impossibility of fully understanding the world we inhabit. Standing still, waiting for a journey, in the heart of the Atlantic.”
