50 pedras pela Liberdade

In this exhibition by Er (Ernesto Matos) & Amigos, we focus on the Portuguese sidewalk and its stones, a source of inspiration for the participants in this collective project. The exhibition marks the Revolution of 25 April 1974, a military and popular action that would restore freedom to the Portuguese people through the streets and their countless stone sidewalks. The Revolution took place on the streets, and the cobblestones were therefore part of the Revolution.
