Introduction to Knitting Workshop
Educational Service of the MAH, 12th December, 3–5 pm

Knitting is in fashion. Simultaneously relaxing and creative, this traditional feminine craft is also an excellent exercise in fine motor skills and a way of expressing personal taste, allowing the creation of functional and decorative customised pieces. For all these reasons, the Museum of Angra, as part of the exhibition Mundo Pequenino | Childhood between 1890 and 1950, recalls the old sewing sessions that were an essential part of female education, offering for the second time the Knitting Godmothers workshop, in which ten apprentices will be initiated into the craft by veteran volunteer knitters.

Target audience: children aged 9 and over, young people or adults
Places limited to: 10 apprentices
Participation: free, subject to prior registration via telephone at +351 295 240 800 or by email at [email protected]
