Lover’s Handkerchiefs

15th February, 3–5 pm

This workshop explores the tradition of the lenços de namorados (lover’s handkerchiefs), examining the symbolism inherent in the motifs that adorn them. Participants will then combine traditional handiwork with contemporary techniques and materials to create handkerchiefs bearing messages of love.
