Staged fencing workshop MAH Auditorium, 5 November, 2:30 p.m./5:30 p.m. In this workshop, Peter Cann, stage director, actor and fight choreographer, will cover the basics of staged combat. Participants will learn a series of simple cuts and defences that will enable them to construct and perform a short stage fight with sabres. The session includes a fencing demonstration with an English Back Sword, a weapon used in Europe from the 5th to the 12th century. Trainer: Peter Cann Target audience: young people aged 12 and over and adults, preferably with some theatrical experience. Participation limited to 16 participants.
