Saints and devotees Each saint has a particular story that justified their canonisation, i.e. that explains why they are considered saints. Many years later, this story can still be recovered by looking at the images that painters, sculptors and other artists have created of them, which usually incorporate their so-called attributes. In this guided tour of the Saints and Devotees exhibition, visitors are introduced to the hagiographic code, learning the meaning of objects, colours and gestures displayed in religiously inspired paintings and sculptures. The tour can also be done independently, using a worksheet available online for this purpose. Target audience: 2nd and 3rd cycles
