“Stories in the Feminine” was the theme of the first themed visit as part of the “Venham mais 5” initiative.
A route that began in the sacristy of the Church of Nossa Senhora da Guia and continued through several spaces of the Museum of Angra do Heroísmo.
Lasting 45 minutes, these visits are free, but prior registration is required to avoid exceeding the limit of 10 participants imposed due to the pandemic.
“Stories in the Feminine” included the exploration of painting pieces, clothing, musical instruments, and engineering items, allowing discussions on fashion, health, education, clothing, and work, in a guided visit led by Ana Lúcia Almeida, coordinator of the educational service of the Museum of Angra do Heroísmo.
On 16 July, there will be “Stories with Gunpowder”, related to the weapons on display in the militaria and armament collection of the museum, and on 23 July, “Stories of Travels” will be revealed, featuring the types of vessels used during the Age of Discoveries, and recalling the expedition of the brave from Mindelo, the royal visit of 1901, and the journey of the paper boat “Autonomia”.
