The cycle promoted by Quadrivium – Associação Artística, Clássicos no Museu (Classics at the Museum), returns to the MAH with a concert that is part of the Quadrivium Quartet’s tour of the Azores, accompanied by Evandro Meneses on the viola da terra. This collaboration stems from a commission by Quadrivium – Associação Artística to composer Antero Ávila, who wrote the work Toca Violas ao Vento. The Quadrivium Quartet is made up of professional musicians who are residents of Quadrivium – Artistic Association: Ana Oliveira and Filipa Gomes on violin, Beatriz Teves on viola, and Simão Lamego on cello. Like other groups in this association, its origins lie in the desire to promote the performance of chamber music, contributing to its dissemination.
