The Angra Museum hosted a mini collection of ready-to-wear pieces designed by Sílvia Teixeira, featuring lace certified from the islands of Pico and Faial, inspired by the glamour of the 1930s. This initiative, part of the Night of Museums, stems from a challenge posed to the fashion designer by the Regional Centre for Craft Support, within the framework of the “Creative Residency 2016” project, which aims to promote and innovate Azorean handicrafts through the creation of new products. The event also celebrated the 90th anniversary of Documentário Terceirense, the earliest known film record from Angra, which was screened on the occasion.
