The Museum of Angra do Heroísmo will host the 1st International Colloquium on Military Heritage and Tourism, which will take place from 12 to 15 July 2023 on Terceira Island.The event was organised by TECHN&ART – Centro de Tecnologia, Restauro e Valorização das Artes (Centre for Technology, Restoration and Enhancement of the Arts), an R&D unit of the Polytechnic Institute of Tomar, and the Angra do Heroísmo Museum, with the support of Angra do Heroísmo City Council.
The event was organised as part of the INSIGNIA project – “Military Tourism Roadmap: a model for the enhancement of national military-historical heritage”, and financed with Portuguese national funds through the FCT – Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia. It aims to provide a space for the presentation, discussion and reflection in the fields of Military-Historical Heritage and Military Tourism.
